When and where is AMUN 2026?
AMUN meets on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026 in Nashik, Maharashtra. The venue has not been announced yet.
How do I register?
Use the delegate registration form. It asks for your details, committee preferences and country or portfolio preferences.
What does registration cost?
Delegate registration is Rs 2,800, with an early bird rate of Rs 2,400. Vogue of Nations is a separate add-on at Rs 1,100, or Rs 800 at the early bird rate.
Which committee should I choose?
Start with the agenda you are willing to research properly. Then check the format. DISEC, IAEA, UN Ocean, UNODC and WTO follow resolution-based procedure. 5WCW negotiates a treaty, S3 writes a summit outcome document, and the two crisis rooms change as delegates make decisions.
How should I prepare if this is my first MUN?
Start with the starter pack, then read your committee's study guide and rules. Learn about your assignment, research its real position and prepare an opening speech of about 60 to 90 seconds, unless your Chair sets a different time.
What should I research before committee?
Get to know your country, portfolio or stakeholder before you research the agenda: its powers, interests, public positions and red lines. The study guide gives everyone the same background. Your own research tells you what your assignment would actually support.
How does a standard committee move?
After roll call and agenda setting, delegates speak on the General Speakers' List, move into focused moderated caucuses and negotiate during unmoderated caucuses. Blocs draft working papers, introduce resolutions, consider amendments and vote.
What is the difference between a point and a motion?
Raise a point when you have a procedural question or a problem affecting your participation. Raise a motion when you want the committee to do something, such as open a moderated caucus, take an unmoderated caucus or move into voting procedure.
Do all committees write a resolution?
Most do, but not all. 5WCW drafts one conference treaty, S3 produces a summit outcome document, Black Mirror works towards the JANUS Accord, and the War Cabinet acts through directives before its final command assessment.
Which documents should I read first?
If this is your first conference, read the preparation guide, flow of debate, and points and motions. After allocation, read the study guide and rules for your committee. Read the rules closely, because the special committees use different names, documents and decision points.
